The best line for crappie that bass pro carries is the line made by Mr. Crappie , Wally Marshall himself . It is usually light line in a color of yellow and you can even pick up a selection of his favorite jigs for crappie . That would be my suggestion .

I love Trilene for bass, trout, and crappie especially Trilene XT Smooth Cast. It allows you to cast light lures pretty far (Like the roadrunner.). Also, i would get 4 lb. test.

Buy Mr. crappie camo line. You can search bass pro shops to find it. I put it on my reels and could not see it at all. It blends in to any water type.

hey man, for the ol crappie i would go with monofilament. probably a 6 to 8 lb test. the mono that i like to use is “Berkley’s Big Game” line. I bought a big ol spool of it a few years back and i am still filling rods with it. i have never had any complaints when it came to this line. And it wasnt about 2 hours ago that the line drug up a mess of white perch. i brought one up that was close to 2 lbs and didnt have the first problem. fished with light tackle and the 8 lb berkley line. man i hope that this helps you out a bit good luck good fishin be safe and remember to share the experience
