what kind of trout rod should i get, i just recieved a bass pro microlite?

i ordered online and gave it the bend test,(really no pressurre at all) and it just snapped.straight out of the box. are ultra lites supposed to do this. so now i am out a rod and am looking for something good but affordable.i will be fishing lakes and occasional streams and am a novice.

One quit giving bend tests obviously as that is not necessary. Go to wall mart and get a cheap $20 6 ft rod. I bought a $15 7 ft rod and it’s one of the best i have and can’t believe it since it was so cheap but it works GREAT !!
