The good folks at BPS will be overjoyed to answer your question. Do not be afraid to ask them. That is what you pay for.

hey man, the 1/8 is going to be just fine for you. in my opinion i think that you should get a variety of colors. in my experience one color works one day and the next day there was nothing so i would get a few to experiment with. but if you are only getting one i would suggest getting one with the red head and yellow body. you can get just the jig head with spinner, and if you want to do that i would get a red head one and just get you a cheap lil box of assorted jig bodies. man i hope that helps you out a lil. good luck good fishin be safe and remember to share the experience

That 1/8 is actually how much it weights, not the length. But anything from 1/24 oz. – 1/8 oz. would be idea. Now, i would recommend 1/16 oz. as i think it would fit crappie perfect.

I would grab a variety of colors. Pink, chartreuse, and red would be my first picks, always. But there’s other good colors like yellow & white.
