California Swimbait Fishing by Mesh Matt 4 17 09 Largemouth Bass
Quick lesson on how to use a swimbait in clear California Lakes. You have a much better chance if you have some wind. I like to target wind blown points. I also like to run the bait parallel to the shore line. I have watched bass position themselves on the outside with the trout between it and the bank. They like to hit them head first but will also get bite from behind tail first. Make long cast and reel slow, when you get bite, wait a second before you set the hook. The Bass needs to get that big bait in its mouth first beofre you set. Thanks for watching another Mesh matt Bass fishing video. Buy your fishing hat at WWW.MESHHAT.COM

I like tacklewarehouse the website they have everything at good prices also check ebay, you might be able to get them cheaper there the swimbait is called a huddleston rainbow trout
hey thanx great tutorial. nice bass. where to you get hutlson baits and how much do they usually run? Thanx keep it up
Cool video man, i fish pardee with swimbaits all the time.
ok ok ok it’s Pardee
i like to use home made swimbaits.
@gitanoguitar lake mead?
berryessa? collins? clear?
hi matt, i lived in n. calli all my life never seen a lake sunshine???? what lake are you fishing, please let me know thank you.
use a hat cam just make em its easy!
how much do they run for the lures
so easy a caveman could do it. nice rod
set the camera on the rear seat!
Nice vid, but you seriously need to get a mount for the cam..lol
have done that in the past and have almost lost(killed) a couple monsters doing that, they just ingulf the bait and that stinger gets too deep sometimes, gets scarey trying to save the big fish, really the top hook is all you need.
mostly buy my own, only one sponser right now
yes, old fenwick fiberglass rod you can cast a country mile with them plus the tip allows for a natural feel once the fish grabs it, plenty of power to slam it home.
Steelhead rod, knew that tip looked kind of soft on the retrieve. Look at that hookset, great work
Yea, sonoma can be tough. Im going to be doing some volunteer work at the hatchery there this year and fishing it more. Ill let you know if i get on any patterns
is that lake sonoma , i need some good advice on that lake, i fished that lake many times and I can not catch shit
He mentioned it was a Huddleston a couple of times. They used to cost a grip when they first came out, now I’d say around $25 or so.
At the end of the vid, it says Lake Sunrise.
I thought it was Pardee. Looks just like it.
what kind of swimbait was that??? how much does it cost?
what lake was this???
are you sponsored or do you buy all that equipment on your own?
you should try rigging a stinger hook in the back of the bait.
