Some advice when pitchin and flippin cover, use a Jackal cover-craw, or a yamamoto fat ika with a 3/0 EWG hook weightless. The slower fall rate will keep you up in the strike zone longer, and the lack of bullet weight will get you hung up less. If you dont get bit on the drop, wait about 40 seconds, and give it a quick pop. I use 20Lb spectra power pro braid, slow gear ratio baitcaster, tight drag, and a 7’6 fast action heavy power rod with lots of backbone.
