caught 18 keepers in less then 45min out in these waters today
well that makes sense if they had the clam or eels. i thought you guys were talking plain spoons. Tog will occasionally bite a minnow or something like that, but they usually stick to crustaceans.
Yes Viper spoons work excellent for flounder & blues. Check out our fishing tips site for tips on how to set- up the Viper Spoon for these fish. In short, for blues you may just flat line your Viper. For flounder, use a 3-way bottom drift method. Again, this imformation will be given on our site which will help you.
Thanks for asking & good fishing!
Can you use these spoon in inlet areas for flounder and blues?
They are good boats. Thanks & good fishing!
lol my dads got the same boat that you guys used a key west boats great but old
man the ones that i catch at my cottage are minos compared to your..do u keep the bigger ones?
Thanks again!
We have caught toutog on SP1, SP2 & SP3 size Vipers (because of the smaller hooks). We baited the Vipers using clam or small artificial eels.
We have also caught them in sea bass zones where there was no structure around. Mind you, we caught them in early spring and they were probably migrating at that time. We did catch some nice ones. You’re right about them taking your bait & heading for cover. Normally these fish like some kind of structure to hide in. Thanks for writing & good fishing!
But great video. those are some nice sea bass. when you’re using those size lures, you only get big ones, not any weebass. keep it up.
A tog would not eat those lures. they sit in their little holes all day and wait till some slow crab comes by, poke out their heads, and suck it down. If you want BIG seabass, use jigs like these gut are using or a squid head and bull minnow combo on one hook. A tog would take you guys right into the wreck on that gear. Tog are just plain mean.
We were fishing in the USA in eh Cape Cod area (Buzzards Bay)
Thanks for writing in & good fishing.
Where were you fishing in? Ukraine or turkey?
