Visit www.hatcams.com to learn more about the hat cam. Hit the water July 4th weekend 2009. Was throwing a topwater frog when I landed this great bass and huge pickerel. All film was captured on the hat cam.

That second fish is a pike. There is a huge difference btw. a pike and a pickerel (or walleye). I’ve caught hundreds of pike up north where I live. Research it to find out once and for all . . what a pike looks like and what a pickerel (or walleye) looks like. Once the research is done than you can impress/correct all your buddies re: this matter (and leave the knuckles out of the debate). Nice video and hope you catch plenty more!

IT is a pickeral a very large one though they are good eating though

  • skibum5722:

Guys, it’s a chain pickeral, not a pike. There are no pike in this body of water i’m fishing.

  • 1cody2williamson3:

yeah thats a pike pickerel have tiger stripes like a muskie but are colored like a pike

  • backhandtdrag12:

Solid bass boys, too bad your second fish wasn’t a pickerel lol. Your right it would of been a nice pickerel, but sadly it was a smallish pike. Note: there’s no Spikey back fin, also the shape of the head and the signature Pickerel eyes.

  • maxlauve:

  • skibum5722:

I use the shimano citica and curado baitcasters. Both are very good. If you don’t want to spend a fortune I’d go with the citica. A great reel for the price.

  • Sean1831:

  • skibum5722:

This was caught with the Fish Arrow Cover Jack I bought from Tacklewarehouse. Very good frog for heavy cover.
