Hi Joe, I’m from middle Tenneessee. Have you ever thrown a line in around these parts? Untill recently I always wanted higher test lines, but now the heaviest I use is 6lbs , unless I am catchin cats. Have you tried useing an ultralight setup? That bass you caught @ 4 mins would feel like a whale I reckon. Cheers ^_^

    badgerhockey99,
I use almost every brand of crankbait. The important thing is that the bait fit the situation that your fishing. Hooks are important too. Beak style near wood and Excaliburs in open water. Baits with a wide wobble work better in stained water. Always pay attention to your depth and use a bait that will run to the proper depth with the line that your using.
Hope that helps and thanks for watching.

  • lcts98:

im 11 and i have been fishing for 6 years and my biggest bass is around 7 lbs on a rapala dt3

  • SaginawRiverFishing:

i agree with both parts of this. My biggest bass is a 2lb 6oz smallmouth. I was freaking out. on my videos. the camera we use isn’t exactly a “high end” tv show making camera. its a canon powershot 1000 i think. so it picks up the wind and stuff and you can barely ever hear my voice. but when i hook a big one i usually get excited, having said that i need to remember at the moment i dont have a lot of videos, let alone videos of big fish.

  • harpinKeith:

Yeah Joe, you don’t love bass fishin do ya? LOL!! You’d have a heart attack down here in South Florida man…it’s literally “Hog” heaven over here!! I had my best day ever lil bit ago, I caught 9 bass over 6lbs in 1 hr! The biggest one was over 9lbs.I caught every one that morning on a texas rigged “pumkin spice super brush hog.” Man i felt like king kong that day! Your enthusiasm makes me want to go fishing tomorrow!! Thanks for the videos bro, good stuff!!
Keith in Florida near Lake “O” ;-)

  • Fishnwithjoe:

We’ll first of all I’ll say that I always get excited when I catch a fish. I think that theres nothing better in the world. Thats why I do a fishing show.
Now there is a big difference in catching fish in Central, Ohio and in other states. In Ohio my biggest bass is just over 6lbs. In South Carolina I caught one a little over 10lbs in Lake George Warren. The important thing about size is where you catch the fish. In one place a 2lb bass is huge where in another place its small.

Try coming to Minot, North Dakota, on the Des Lacs RIver. Its a small. local river but has some amazing Pike and Walleye fishing in it.

  • MusketeerFan:

You ever fish at East fork lake?
