BIG Illinois Bass (5/6/10)

I caught this bass in cold front fishing in the after noon afters school. The water temp was low 60′s and the air temp was mid 50′s (cold front) I was using a wacky rigged Zoom 4in worm.

Yeah I’m from Northern Illinois am looking for some solid fishing areas/towns/whatever. Where I’m fishing now is pretty decent with nice bass, but still wouldn’t mind any tips from anyone (not ashamed ;]) So got any sweet spots? Rr are you not a “sharing” kind of guy…I’ts okay if you aren’t, a secret spot is a secret spot and I respect that.

@Laszcz4 This isn’t a private pond, Its an inlet to a big lake thats in northern Illinois, I’ve only fished private ponds once
Where yah fishing buddy? What state to specify? And you prefer fishin’ “private” ponds like that?
Hey man very nice bass, that is a hug, i’ve havent caught 1 largemouth yet all smallmouth my biggest so far is about 4lb. Cant wait for when I start throwing that waky for big bass. 5*
thats a beauty fish man….honestly ive caught 4′s and 6′s haha but never bass in the 5ld range.

@TheBassAngler1 yeah man same with me, if i catch a fish,i release it with no harm….it really gets me mad when i see these people…..for example,this guy i saw at the lake in my neighborhood caught a pretty nice 14 inch bass. After he measured it,he literally chucked it into the water,it hit a rock,and died from shock….i was pretty mad
Hey im just wondering…are you still selling those creeping craw lures? Because i think i might want to try one in the lake……..are they reusable?
I think thats a solid 5 pounder but i dont think its 22 inches… its still a great fish, nice job

@TheBassAngler1 thanks man! I want her to stay healthy and grow so I can land her again. I also like to support her belly to if the bass is over 3lb…just buts alot of stress on the fish

@j0j0barz33 yeah man its a great fish,here in texas there is alot big fish,my biggest is 8 pounds. And its also great to see catch and release and takin such good care of the fish.

that aint 5,maybe 4 but great fish. If nobody believes me its not a 5 go on myspace and type in cody trenary and his profile pic is a 5 pound 9 ounce,compare it to this fish.

nice spawning beauty u caught!!! My friend from school caught a 8lbs 25in bass, it was the biggest bass i have ever seen here n delaware. I give u support on catching another monster like that!!!
