Big Striped Bass

I did catch this Striped Bass at North River by Scituate, MA from boat (“Labrador, Captain Don “Soup” Campbell) on 05/25/2008. The Striped Bass was 43′ and 25 lbs. Thanks for Bryan – for help! Best wishes for Captain, it was really an outstanding service!

Dead Bait Stinks- See how the Longer Life Bait kit keeps fishing bait alive for days.. for more information please visit www.baitkit.com When I was a young boy my Dad would take me fishing. We would lay out our tackle the night before and double check it with all the anticipation of a little boy the night before Christmas. The next day the only thing we needed was the bait, shrimp for salt water and shiners for fresh water. There was always a problem keeping our bait alive, in fact we decided it was nearly impossible to keep shiners alive. This was unfortunate because my Dad would love to fish for big bass in his hometown of Hertford, North Carolina. As the years went by, my Dad and I continued our passion for fishing. Many times we settled for artificial bait because live bait was just too expensive to use when it would just die before we got to our favorite fishing spot. Longer Life HeadquartersFrom this experience we learned, you just couldn’t catch the big one without live bait. So we went back to using live bait but this time observing the bait and studying how to keep them alive. The air pumps currently on the market were so loud it was probably scaring the fish away. My Dad also noticed when the lid was shut on the cooler or bucket, the air hose got pinched causing two things to happen. There was little or no air getting to the live bait and the water temperature in the bucket was too hot, killing the baitfish. Even if we tried to do everything right within a few

You can get the bucket rig at Walmart for like 30 bucks, my buddies has ran for months on the D batteries, plus it’s a foam insulated bucket so it’s easier to clean than the bag types. Any aeration system will keep the bait alive until the water quality gets too bad or they starve to death, so if you change the water and feed them, they will live their lifespan.

  • FarNorthFishinAddict:

ya this idea was stupid, live bait doesnt stink.lol

If you like this product, you will love the
YouTube video on the bait fish trap: Collapse-A-Trap

  • hiluss:

i bet that bait bag cost like $50…….i’ll stick to my bucket

  • jsg2891:

exactly, dead bait stinks..thats the only thing i agree with on this video..a cut bait gives off game fish attracting scents if it is fresh and kept properly..sometimes it is the only way to entice a big fish, they are lazy and don’t like to hunt their food..you don’t need live bait, you’re never gonna get a big fish on anything that you can fit a dozen of in a bait bucket

  • AverageFisherman:

how would you keep the bait alive on the way to the fishing hole from the bait shop though?

you can get that aireator @ walmart for like $15 and put it on any bucket, or even a zip up cooler like they have there

  • lexmark136:

or you can just pick up one of those $6 minnow cages at walmart and toss em over the side of your boat lol…

  • ilovehalo45:

thats sucks its like 50 bux..bull

  • ilovehalo45:

so we put the water right in that cooler?

  • sharpay21:

    this is cool!

  • RhineStoneTshirts:
