bonnethead shark fishing

this is a good sized bonnethead shark, which is a type of hammerhead, that i have ever caught. he is not the longest, but he is the fattest and maybe the strongest. i wasn’t able to get a safe grip on the back of his neck, because of his size. this type of shark doesn’t get much bigger than this!!! we were fishing on a beautiful day unlike last weekend!! i caught him on a whole squid that i caught the night before in my cast net probably 12″ with tenticles!!

You never know what you might catch when white bass fishing with Gone Fishin Guide Service on lake Richland Chambers. It was very well played and was even released to fight another day.

I gotta know, were you fishing Blind Pass, Light house Beach, or where? I caught a few on Blind Pass. Always the rod with shrimp or Crab, never cut bait for some reason.

@lmrspartan strength to tear tghe sharks face off, but i do whats best for the shark in the longrun, why dont you keep your bullshit ideas to yourself dickhead think outside the fukking box

  • devolutionizreal:

@lmrspartan yea ok well when it is so deep into his jaw and all those muscles its best to leave a? piece of a small 2/0 non-stainless hook in there other than just pull and tear with all youve got till it rips through everything it’s punctured and then why don’t you try releasing it, see then if it swims away, a little inconvenience like that piece of a small hook is better than permanant damage or death you dickhead, maybe you think of it as a compitition to see whos manly enough and has enough

  • lmrspartan:

@jonrgodwin Uhm you are really retarded. Yes the hook rusts out EVENTUALLY but if you aren’t man enough to take the hook out then DONT BE CATCHING THEM! Easy as that retard. You cause more pain leaving it in their mouth. Don’t believe me? Let me stick a hook in your mouth, then you go swim in SALT water for a week. Then see how you feel. Jeez, and you called everyone else a moron.

  • racooninabag:

nice shark!! don’t woory about the A’holes giving you shit about the hook in it’s mouth. you did the right thing, better not risk it. the hook naturally flushes out most of the time anyway. Whenever i get a shark i do exactly as you did.

  • jonrgodwin:

you people are morons, clearly you have never caught a real fish in saltwater, you never take the hook out of a sharks mouth, they rust out usually in 4-5 days!!!! It doesnt hurt the shark at all, if anything by taking the hook out you are causing more stress and harm to the sharks jaw

  • growyourwine:

Thank you for releasing the shark. other people are cruel, mean persons that catch the shark, say woohoo look what i caught, and then let it die. I hope you felt good after releasing it back into it’s home.
