Heck yeah! Nice catch! I have always heard catfish in the Mississippi River were huge. What state are you in? Looks like Tennessee? The bridge in the far back ground looks like that of West Memphis crossing into Memphis…

how long did it take to reel it in?
i find cut up chicken liver works great i remeber one time me and my dad cuaght so many fish we had to disiced witch catfish we wanted to keep cuz we had so many and we where over our limit lol so we had to throw some back all dicent size 2 i think we caught one 20 pounder the rest where like 5 or 3 but still pretty dicsent size

@RangersAirsoft Depends on what type of fish you’re trying to catch, there are a LOT of different cat fish species and different ones prefer different baits. The one in this vid is a flathead cat and they prefer live bait as opposed to stink baits, not saying you wont catch a flat from time to time, but you’re more than likely NOT going to catch anything big unless you use live bait.
i use some sort of dough covered in chicken blood for catfsih bait.
@XA2I3RX well i use stinky bait on the mississippi and do fine catching cat fish so i dont think it makes that big of a differance

naa i was asking if you needed to i wasnt trying to kick you out or anything i was wondering for myself never been back there. Yea the north side of the little dam by the muffle shop or whatever it is now, you need permission there. I guess some mexicans went fishing there and left a bunch of cut up fish laying all over so dont let many fish there anymore. That spot is right behind my friends house and he has permission to fish there(hes been fishing there for years). Ive never fished there
