Lazy People do not catch these fish! J / Jason & I had two days of fishing like this. Please keep in mind that J is smarter than me & took the fish off in the water or I just want you to see the fish we found. J’s fish where all the same size as mine. BUT the best fish is on the long video. This weekends fishing was also Catch & release I have been chucking most of my fish back this year, as I know there are few fish every year now. Moreover, J & are lazy and did not want to drag them back the 3.6 miles to the car.. lures? @dfehr401 I was using a 10 foot St Croix pole and J was using a 10′ 6″ St Croix. you could have gotten away with a 9 foot but in the fall its best to have a 10 foot pole.

@TheBran234 Jason land a few but the lure he asked for was a Stillwater smack-it ; color pearl holographic 5 ½. Its a lights out lure on a sand bottom beach.
It’s obviously that Jason landed his first, when he switched to lure you were using! What was it?

@danngree Well all setups catch fish it just depends on how long you want them to last? The Van Staal is pricey but it out last any reel on the market hands down & in turn saves me money?
I wish i could afford your set up, ive got some decent gear, but nothing on the level of a van staal… i cant wait to get back to florida next week and start fishing again!
