Alot of people like calling them bowfin, dogfish, or a lye. I almost beat the record in upstate ny. I caught one that was 36 and a half inches. It was a monster
they have a pretty tough mouth dont they? lol, man i caught one out out of a creek in illinois and had a tough time gettin that hook out
Thats a bowfin or grendel as some call them. they are like a 100,000,000 year old speicies.
