  • fisher11man:

they eat mostly shad, but if there is a small bass and if it is weak or sick it will mabye eat it if it can catch it. soooo……thats just a myth, they dont damage any gamefish populations at all.

  • andrewgodofwar:

    KITTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wingsofic:

Do you even know how to prepare them to eat?

  • mitchellgriffin01:

  • TheGreatKane:

    Lol why??

  • mitchellgriffin01:

i don’t extract the hook. i cut the line then stick the gars snot in the sand and break it’s neck!

  • TheGreatKane:

Yeah Bowfin are lots of fun , They go crazy an do what i call a “Death Roll” trying to get off.

  • daisycapper:

I use to catch Gar and Bowfin at Biglake in Manila Arkansas. It was a lot of fun!

  • TheGreatKane:

Yes , Hook came right out.

  • gatorgarfish:

Were you able to extract the hook ?

  • BalazarsBrain:

No kidding, just dragging the fish along the sand…not even making an effort to revive the fish a bit before releasing.

Learn how to handle the fish if you’re going to release it.

  • jonf1023:

Before you release the next one. Hit it in the head with a hammer. You wont hurt it any more then you did the ones in the vid.

  • veryrandom33:

rough dude take it easy on my babies

  • im4fish:

hello, i just got into flyfishing about a year ago, and have recently cought my first trouton a fly rod. i would like to start fly fishing saltwater, but i need a saltwater pole and i am on a budget. are there any poles or brands thatyou recomend?

  • obfg2:

I agree with the guy everyone is calling an idiot. I’ve been fishing striper on the west coast for fifteen years. If I handled a fish that way, my friends would beat me with the biggest stick they could find. Makes me embarassed you’re using a fly rod. 1 star.

  • sergio1300:

I never handle fish with dry hands and in 9 years, i caught one thousand of fish and only kill one for dinner.
You are not an idiot but you dont know enough

  • unitaper:

    mjgegb your an idiot

  • MJGEGB:

Please invest in a landing net or lip griper this video should be titled “How Not to Handle Fish” it’s great that you catch and release but those fish more than likely died. never handle a fish with dry hands and try not to rub their protective coating off.
