Hooking up a big lake trout!
Fishing for big lake trout. We were jigging the bottom about 65 feet down. I hooked up with a good Cutthroat trout, Then Jason the angler had to show me up with a big mac. It was a calm day and great to be out fishing on Utah’s bear lake.

@silentdreemz85 that t what I mean a pike will grab another pike then have it in its mouth and slowy swallow it fish dont go up and just slurp up the entire fish
@pyxiefrog124 they dont, show me a videos of it. i think what your talking about is that they will turn their prey around head first after they capture it. Its not like they are just sitting there chomping on a good meal nice and slow like a human or something.
@silentdreemz85 then why do pike sit with bigffo in there mouth and slowly eat it
@pyxiefrog124 Also the reason that bass can be seen more clearly inhaling food is because they have such large mouths so its easy to see. if you take any fish and slow the video down you will be able to see the fish inhaling its food.
@silentdreemz85 That is not true at all. You may think that they bite because they have teeth. In fact the reason pickerel and pike have teeth is because they will eat food that is 2/3 there own body weight so when they grab it that can tear it into pieces. With that said when a pike pickerel or trout eat something that is big enough to go right in there mouths without a problem they inhale the food. And also they inhale the food even if it is too big and then they begin to tear it up.
@silentdreemz85 not true pikerel, pike and trout bite down on there prey bass inhale
@TheBalsamFir fish dont bite, they inhale there meal into there mouth.
It’s neat to see a video on this fishery. There just doesn’t seem to be much info available on it. How big do you guys catch the Bonneville Cutts?
typical lake trout, barely bite, they just kinda put the lure in their mouths
