1st trip of the year. slow at first, but then sped up quickly, and a huge bass at the end! Fish totals: me-22, my father-about 10, and my sister-3 and for all you animals rights people, we practice catch and release, even the big one

@colbybassmaster Most of the bass should be spawning at Clear Lake by the end of April. It’s been a cold spring and the water temp is just now reaching the low 60′s. We have had quite a bit of rain this winter, so Clear Lake is almost full, and the water is quite clear. Sight fishing the backwater sloughs around Lakeport should be productive. Good Luck!
any tips for late april im headed there for the first time hopefully in a couple weeks
No, I just keep them in my live well for a while so I can get some pictures later. I always release any bass I catch before the end of the day.
