    It applies to spotted bass and smallmouth just as much as largemouth. Ive caught my biggest smallmouth/spotted in that magic hour just before the sun comes up.

    This would apply to all lakes when fishing for large mouth bass! I have fished all kinds of lakes from ponds to big reservoirs and fishing at or before first light is the most consistent time!

    good advice, Those are my favorite hours,getting up early or fighting the bugs late is almost always rewarded with a clunker.I can spring out of bed to go fishing at 4 am ,but still fight to get up to go to work why is that?
