i caught a bass out of a pond… it was 15 inches long (west virginia dnr claims in the state of west virginia any spotted bass is a trophy citation if it expands 14 inches in length)… and i have pics of it but not sure if its enough proof its a spotted bass instead of a largemouth

a friend told me a good way of telling the difference is by closing the bass’s mouth…… he said a largemouth’s mouth when closed will come past its eyes… a smallmouth’s mouth won’t reach it’s eyes… and a spotted bass with be even to its eyes… in the pics when its mouth is closed its perfectly even with its eyes… i didnt take pics inside of its mouth tho but do know there was 2 black things on its tongue instead of only 1… but is the pics of its mouth enough proof do u think?
Through pictures I doubt it. Plus my friend caught a trout and it was a citation and they screwed him out of it.

Product Description
To our knowledge the remote regions of canoe country have never been etched in film, in fact human beings have rarely seen the area we are filming until now! We pack our cameras, fishing gear camping equipment and paddle back into the bush for three days. What you will see is an incredible wilderness experience complete with 20-inch smallmouth, loons, moose and otter. The scenery and sounds are beyond compare. The water clarity needs to be seen to truly appreciate. … More >>
