I am not from the area but yes Lake Erie as tons of tournaments. Some tournaments are partner formats where you can find someone with a boat and pay to fish together. An example would be a montly club tournament with a Bass Federation Nation Club or the The Bass Federation Club. Some tournaments like the FLW/BFL or the BASS/ABA Weekend Series you can sign up as a co angler and you draw a partner. However sometimes space is limited. If you are just getting started I would find your local bass club and hook up with them.
