Hello, I live in michigan and fish alot of tournys. I would try asking at your local sporting goods store or conservation clubs they would know of any local bass clubs in your area. good luck!

Check with your local Bass chapters in your area. Keep in mind that there is point system involved and if you miss so many tournaments your off the team.

It’s an expensive Hobby and winning keeps me going. I started fishing tournaments in 2001 and I have only took first place three times.
other times I usually land in second or fourth to fifth place staying in the money round. My average is in the top five.

I caught a 14 lb Large mouth during the Feed The Hungry Tour and took first place and the lunker prize. You should of seen the looks on those Anglers faces how in the hell I caught that fish.
My fishing partner witnessed the whole thing, he hit a Rapala while were trolling. Luck is one thing landing it is another.

Let me tell you a time where I was fishing in a Torunament and my Father and I got lucky and were picked as a pair.

While we were fishing the boat suddenly stoipped trolling and there was smoke coming out of the battery well. We had a short and no fuses and it looked hopless that we could finish the tournament.

So we decided to quit and just crank up the engine and head on in with this look that could kill.

We are heading back with the engine in slow gear and while my Father just takes his time, I throw a rattle trap from behind the boat and start feeling my pole bend and that trap was rattling buddy…lol

Five minutes later my pole does a double bend over as if I am hung, so I holler at my father to stop I got something.

I pulled in a 10.2 oz lbs Largemouth and won the Lunker prize for the tournament and still came out a winner despite the trolling motor burning up.

I ended up with $400.00 cash pool.

So I still won money and to this day we still talk about it.

If your good enough…it’s time to put your skill to work.
Go for it and good luck.
