All tournaments have rules, one of which is usually compliance with the USCG rating plate which the boat must have. Some tournaments require a nonboater fishing in the boat with the boater in which case you might be a bit cramped.
But I guess if you show up with the entry fee, they’ll be happy to take your money.
I agree with jtexas, but caution that,” If you pay your money, you might not catch your fish!” Have fun anyway!
