Do bass move back to the spots you caught them if you release them away from the spot after a tournament?

I had a tough time on the first day of my bass tournament but i was wondering if the fish i caught on my spots would go back the next day even after being released in a different part of the lake?

  • The Wormist:

they’ll just find a new spot to take up residence if it was a very long move, otherwise they may eventually find their way back.
but if you are catching nesting fish, say goodbye to the eggs and/or babies.
they do move around in a lake but usually not too far. it is mostly a migration between deeper and shallow water. they will also follow schools of bait. but mostly will remain near their favored ambush points.
