Fishing tournament should I enter?
Hi, I am 13 years old i’ve been fishing for well all my life. There is a bass tournament coming up in the summer. It is a tournament for kids like me. My biggest fish as a 4and a half pound bass 19 inches.I was just wondering if it is a good thing for me.

If you are that good then go for it.
yea go for it, this would be a great oppurtunity to show how great of a fisherman you are. let nothing stand in your way
Hook it up!!!
Yeah you should if you love fishing, you never know where it could lead to and i am betting that a career in tournament fishing has got to beat being a teacher/doctor/welder etc.
Also it will give you a good idea of how good you are against people of your own (or similar) age groups. Just go do it mate, what can you lose?
i would say yes!!! especially if your good at it. i wish that i were into bass fishing like am am now(22) at age 13, i would have tournament fished long ago! fishing is a good sport and if you start at a young age, you will learn ALOT! just put it this way, your largest fish is larger than my biggest largemouth. i like to smallmouth fish and my biggest is 5 lbs. so your on a pretty good track! if your good at it, go for it!
Man if you can catch fish on a regular basis and you know where your fishing then go for it, If you get enough practice and knowhow you can enter a local bassmasters club and do tournaments for money and prizes. I highly support you getting into fishing tournaments i think i’m going to practice all this summer and do tournaments next year. Good luck
man, i am glad to hear that you are that interested in fishing that you want to go to a tournament. the answer in my opinion is yes yes yes. man go for it. what is the worse that can happen. you never know. you might win this one and you will catch the tournament fever and you never know i might be watching you on the bass pros on tv one day. go for it have fun and enjoy the tournament. good luck good fishing be safe and remember to share the experience.
Yes, enter it. The worst thing that could happen is you spend a day fishing. Maybe you’ll meet some fishing buddies and that’ll lead to a lot more fishing. And maybe you’ll pick up some pointers that’ll help your fishing in the future.
And if you do well, that’s just a bonus. Go for it.
Yes! No matter how you do, if you pay attention you will probably learn something.
It will expose you to the world of competitive fishing, as well as other ways of catching bass you may not have been exposed to.
You also will learn from the boater you will be fishing with (which I would gather at your age you will be fishing with someone who owns a boat)
Go for it..it will be nothing but a great experience and give you more insight into fishing Tournaments.
Good Luck!!
Go for it. I’m sure it will be fun and interesting.
19 inch 4 1/2 pounder? damn, that thing had to have looked like a football!
if you feel you’re up to the competition and know you can whoop ‘em, then l say go for it. l wish there were tournaments like that when l was a kid, l’da been a pro by now!
I’d say YES. What have you got to lose?
Even if you don’t win, it’s a good experience and it will help you see how tournaments go and you will be a little more prepared for the next one.
My grandson is 5 years old and has fished in 3 kid’s fshing tournament. These tournaments are fun and the kids usually get a lot of FREEBIES. My grandson got a rod and reel and he didn’t even win the tournament. All of the tournaments were free.
Go For IT!!!
