Get Ready for Bass Fishing Action at Lake Mozingo!

bassfishingtips-tactics.com It’s been a long, cold winter here in northern Missouri and cabin fever is definitely running wild especially on everyone itching for some bass fishing! After the warm-up this week, a trip over to Mozingo Lake showed the ice shroud covering the lake is finally yielding its chilly grip. Now it’s clear … a little bass fishing gear is a requirement on the next trip over to the lake :) More than just checking on the ice status, the video was also intended to provide a little insight into the lake, facilities and one of the really cool shore fishing areas (at the City Ramp). Also mentioned are the three reasons the shore fishing can be so good off the banks around the city ramp: 1) Great cover that ties into the lake’s structure (points, coves/cuts and flooded timber); 2) One of the old road beds that used to cut across the creek valley before construction of the lake; & 3) The ramp is used as the launch area for numerous bass tournaments (and guess where the bass are released). So, I hope you enjoy the video report and I do apologize for the whistling wind that creeps in from time to time bassfishingtips-tactics.com

    Hi Larry,

    Thanks for the comment. Yes it’s a very cool lake (I guess cold at the moment) and green is only several weeks away!

    I was just really happy to see a little open water :)

    Looks like a nice lake. I can’t wait to see what it looks like when all the plants are green :}
