How much money do people win?

How much do you get if you win bassmaster or any other bass tournaments? i was just wondering what there pays are. thanks for your help.

All tournaments pay out different amounts depending on their particular rules and how many people entered the tournament. I’ve seen local tournaments around me pay anywhere from 200 bucks up to 10,000 bucks along with a few giving away tackle or even boats and various vehicles. It all depends on the specific tournament. This year Kevin Vandam pulled in 500,000 dollars for winning the Bassmaster Classic. I remember reading somewhere that he has a career total of over 4 million dollars.
They all vary depending on the sponsors and other qualifying tournaments you’ve won. The big tournaments, to be in one of those you must have climbed up the ladder of tournaments. You must finish in the lets say for an example top 5 of a tournament that pay $1000 to be eligible to enter the next one that might pay $1500. Each contest will get slightly larger in succession and pay a little more. You have to be a “PRO” to enter the big ones that pay big ,$10,000 and up. To become a “PRO” takes a lot of dedication and time and sponsorship to pay you so you can afford not to work a regular job and just concentrate on fishing.
