no i think it is legal.. i think
Yes, it is illegal to bait bass, anytime.
no i doubt its legal i HIGLY doubt it and besides bass move around a`lot soo they wouldnt just stay ion that area unless u cheated and went out like 8 hours before hand and dumped like ur bait. besides there predators so they chase and ambush bait its not like theyll stay all day and wait for food they go find it
Not sure what you’re asking but I’ll try to answer. If you’re asking is it illegal to fish with live bait for bass, no, it is not illegal (although many states have their own laws as to what species of live bait can be used). I have fished bodies of water where anglers are required to use artificial baits only, with barbless hooks.
The vast majority of bass tournaments are artificial lure only. It is up to the tournament organizer/director if they will allow live bait. It’s all about money in Major Bass tourneys, it’s hard to sponsor a bait tournament, but very easy for a lure maker promote their product if it is artificial lures only.
If you’re asking can you CHUM for bass (or any fresh water fish for that matter) it is illegal to chum freshwater in most states, but chuming in salt water is allowed. Check with your states’ Fish and Wildlife Service for your local regulations. There can be big fines, even confiscate your rods/tackle.
i have not heard of it being against the rules but u have to check, personolly i find it imoral and cheating if u have to do that to catch fish then u should probably not fish tournaments ,BAD CARMA will happen
You would have to check the tournament rules and the state fishing rules. If the tournament rules state that you can use any means that is legal and it is legal to use live bait then bait fishing would be legal. I would say that most states and tournaments that it would be legal, but most people use artifical baits.
