what would make you want to go to a bass tournament?
I am doing a school project and was wondering if people could please help. Please post your gender, age, single, married, married w/ children, etc and answer one question: what would make you/your family want to go to a bass tournament (for example Bass Masters)? ie what activities, giveaways, etc would you want to do? Admission is free.
Sorry, I should have clarified, but you are NOT participating. Ie a major bass tournament is coming to either your area or close to your area, and there is a pre-show and an expo, for the non-participants (while they wait for the final weigh in) what would you want to do?

I’de personally go to participate….admission aint free.
female age 48, married, used to live in maryland, in my 30′s i did not go to bass tournaments, i was in them, i have had trophys for largest, most in a time frame and total caught in one night. its the challenge, against others, the time frame they give you, it really test your skills and knowledge of the waterways and the fish, weather, seasons ect. my husband also was in them in VA. tis a great hobby.

Personally aside from seeing the catch brought in, I love to go to the demonstration tanks. They stock the tanks with bass and demonstrate different lures. I love seeing how the lures actually move underwater. Giveaways aren’t really a big deal to me. I enjoy things like casting competitions, different booths with lots of stuff I can spend money on lol. I love fishing so what could be better than going to an event that is 110% about fishing. The only thing I would like to see more of would be fishing clinics. You can never learn to much about fishing. You will never know every trick in the book, and anyone what shares any kind of insight is more than welcome in my book.

for everything. i don’t care if i get free stuff or not. for me its all about the experience. i love to hunt & fish so just being there is a good time for me.
Because they’re a lot fun if you like bass fishing. They are like an all day festival of bass fishing. Games and contests for the kids, food, entertainment and autograph signing for the adults.
Adam took my answer! (lol)
The demonstrations in the fishing tank is very cool. However, I like the “give-away’s” and the new product booths. I drag the whole family (of 5) down to the show when it comes to town, (if it comes to town).
The Florida Sportsman Show is fantastic. If I’m in Fla when they have one I’m there, (whether the fam comes or not!).
Thumbs to Adam.

First off I am a tournament fisherman and the main reason I would go is to fish. If I wasn’t in the tournament I would go to see who wins. Door prizes, free giveaways are a plus. Chances to meet and greet participants ( if it was bassmasters). The tanks mentioned above get the whole family involved. Lure, rod, reel manufacturers booths would be good. These could offer freebies, demos, and other info. Bass boat simulator is good for the kids as they get the feeling of what it’s like to drive a big bass rig. Casting accuracy events for the kids too. And and of course a beer tent for the fishermen not fishing this one.
hey hey, well the big thing is to fish but you are not asking that but here are some reasons that i have went and not fished…
there are all kinds of sponsors and mauufactures of lures lines rods reels and so forth there..i have found that they show the new products at turrneys before released into the stores…some that i have went to have had fishing demonstrations about new lures and it is a great place to meet people that are just like me…good ol country boys that love to fish. and it is exciting to meet the pros. everynow and then i can get them off to the side and ask them a couple questions about techniques and lures and what nots…hope that helps you out a bit below i will leave the specifics that you asked for….
