Just use a open face
so depending on the weight you adjust the drag to allow the lure not to drop to fast like he had it?

yea its a good video for begginers to start off with i started off my bait casting career with this but ended up going my own way i dont even use that method of clearing backlashes anymore

Solution #2, buy a open face and never deal with backlash ever again.
