Bass Fishing Poles – What is the Right Bass Fishing Pole For You?
WOW! There sure are a lot of Bass Fishing Poles on the market today! How do you pick the right pole with so many to pick from?
The answer is simple, take you time. Do some research and ask some questions. Make sure to match your new bass fishing pole with the type of fishing that you will be doing with it. One pole does not work in all situations.
How big is the lure or bait you be using? How heavy and dense is the weed cover where you will be? How heavy is the line you prefer to use? And even, how big do the bass grow in the water you are fishing in? All these things will matter as you make your selection!
There are ultra light, light, medium light, medium, medium heavy, heavy and on and on. These different sizes each have their place in your tackle arsenal. Now consider length, there are poles as short as 5′ and less to poles that are 8′ and longer. Again, try to consider all of the above questions before you make that purchase.
Once you have pole weight and length figured out, you need to decide what style bass fishing pole you will need. Spinning, spincasting, casting and bait casting are all great poles and once again each have their place.
This may all seem a bit confusing and even a bit over whelming but if you keep all of the above factors together, the process will become clear. Ask questions and use the internet to do some research. There are many, many great resources out there that are sure to help you make the correct decision.
When ever I venture out to find my the next bass pole to add into my ever growing arsenal, I always take these things into account. By making sure that each piece fits together, you will be much more likely to win your next battle with that trophy bass.
