I did the same thing….mine was on a huge rockfish lure. not a jigging one, a monster rockfish one..it was in about 5 inches…took it out with some pliers…damn it hurtl like a SOB.

Of course not, because it was just an accident.
According to Bill Dance getting hooked in the foot while fishing in his socks after removing his shoes… if you choose to wear socks while fishing (depending on whether or not you want to remove your shoes even though I mostly wear shoes in that case), we must always remember to be careful by making sure there are no lures with hooks lying around in the boat so as not to getting hooked in the sock like Bill Dance had done by accident.
