KDuB- In my opinion when fishing lakes and rivers up herewithout shad, yes you still have to think about forage. Bass are still bass no matter what kind of food is in the system, and they are going to eat heavily in the fall either way. Bluegill and crayfish would be the main forage in most cases. Green weeds are a plus because the weeds that aren’t green(dead or dying) are being broken down by processes that use oxygen and thus take away the oxygen in the water, which the fish need
when fishing those weeds do you target bluegills or just rule out the forage
no doubt… but if you are in the midwest 90% of the lakes and rivers dont carry a great shad population, here its more follow the green weeds, if you happen to find any big green deep weedlines work those to death, crankbaits, jigs, and big texas rigs work great
fall you just have to be around the shad at all times no matter what lure your fishing folow the shad
yes no dought always get a harder hit on a white top water like a buzzbait a white always gets a harder hit they can just suck a black under but the whites are blows up way more often
the sight is a bonus but they ambush the white more than any other color in my experiences… but ya, I mean somtimes my reasoning is that if the shad are white or w.e. color then the bass are conditioned to finding that particular color even if it may not stand out as much as any other color
i agree completely with the forage when they are heavily feeding there is no reason to through a black in dark water or a green in clear when they are hitting a white or silver no matter what ill also through a white sight fishing like a white lizard just because you can follow the bait and see it a little better than a green or brown
haha il let it slide this time. these vijias make me wanna fish though and its making duluth winter longer. get up here and ice fish superior with me this winter!
cmon dane it was an honest mistake… i will correct myself in the next video… i would have had to completely record it again to change it lol
im gonna disagree with you on teh fact that this is your fourth entry.
ya… late fall is real easy if you know where to go and what to do… well I guess that true with anything tho isnt it lol… but ya maybe next video or the video after will be geared towards that… thanks and keep watchin!
u should do a late fall vid, ive had trouble in late fall
