I live in NYC and have seen Lure live several times. Their music is very well produced (Dan Yashiv, the leader, is a recording engineer, recorded DJ Spooky) and Kristen’s full-ranged vocal is suberb. It’s trip hop with a very human face. Kristen lyrics are hounting, and her singing style is hypnotizing. The songs are simply beautiful. The best this genre has to offer. The best New York scene has to offer.
