i have plastic minnow lures that will work i sell them for 5.00 a piece
Winter : Spinnerbaits will work well, they are inactive but, when they see the flash they go crazy. Booyah makes some great ones. Spinnerbaits are about the only things that will work in winter.
Fall : Crankbait, Spinnerbait. Not as active as they was but, they will now take a crankbait often, and also they love spinnerbaits now.
Spring : Crankbaits, artificial worms. They’re active and ready to fight!!
Summer : rubber worms. They are going crazy but, there sorta lazy
winter:use plastic frogs….well, if the lake isnt frozen over
Many lures are usefull all season long.
As the Bass fishing season progresses from (Spring to Winter) your lures should go through a “size” difference. (Starting in Spring your lures should mirror the approx size of the natural forage the fish are biting on. So, in Spring the forage is small, in Summer the common forage is slightly larger, in Fall they are fullgrown, and so forth.)
However, when Winter rolls around the common forage is “full grown” and large and tougher to catch, eat, and digest. At this time, (as the water begins to cool down severly), a Bass’s metabolism slows down and they begin to be careful about what they feed on. Downsizing your lures to “easily digested, bite-size morsels” will help your catch ratio.
There are common “notorious” lures that are popular during certain seasons:
Spring- 1/8-1/4 OZ Spinnerbaits & In-line Spinners, 4″ Worms, 1/8-1/4 OZ Jigs.
Summer- any and every plausible Bass lure.
Fall- Rattle Traps, Spinnerbaits, large Swim Baits, and Topwater lures.
Winter- small Jigs, 4″ soft plastic lures, Lil’ Georgies, vertical jigging spoons, Lures that can “suspend”, (any small lure with a minimum of tail movement).
Hope this gives you a better understanding of seasons and lure choice? Good fishing!
Some times its a good to fly fishing may help you out. But you have to fine bass lures in some story for bass and good luck to you and have too.
