What are your favorite bass lures?

Caught my first and second bass this week on a senko, and was going to try and branch out a little this next week. Any ideas as far as lures go?

Just go to Dicks Sporting Goods or any OutDoor Stores there are near you and ask the guy in that section for a “Bass Lure or Rig” He’ll hook you up with some tight stuff try it and let me know :D

In addition to the senko type bait I use Mepps #4 spinners and Rapula X-Raps for the small mouth bass up here.. and have large mouth hit them for some reason too.

The Senko type lures are one of my favorites. Here is what I will use on a fishing trip when the fishing is slow and I am trying to locate the bass and what they want. If fishing a lake this time of year I will try to locate a school of bass on the points. I will use a bandit crank bait or a Rattle Trap to start with. If no fish or the fish is running small l use a drop shot rig with a high floating plastic lizard. When the catching slows down I will then go to the lily pads using a senko type lure, or Zoom trick worm rigged weightless or a Stanley ribbit frog. Then I move to the bayous and try shoreline fishing with a humdinger spinner bait and a Zoom trick worm.I then try deeper water cypress trees with a Zoom Lizard and a sliding sinker or a Zoom Baby brush hog rigged the same way. If the day has been overcast I will have also tried a buzz bait around the shoreline, trees, and lily pads. If sunny I do not fish it at all. These are the lures I use 90% of the time. If all I can find is schools that are running small I will use a tail spinner bait in open water by casting out letting it fall slowly , reel in the slack and raise rod tip and repeat. The small ones can’t seem to resist it. This method of fishing has a great success rate for me. But I’m sure others will have even better systems that may work for them. But this is the one that will normally catch a limit of keepers for me if I stay after it long enough.Good luck and congratulations for becoming a bass fisherman!

my favorite bass lure is a 6″ plastic worm with 4″ and 8″ being close second favorites and sometimes a 10″ one.
next is a small popper similar to a “rebel” pop r called a rico popper. l like the smaller size. it is made by lobina lures. used a lot by rick clunn and don iovino.
that followed by soft plastic frogs like the rage tail, most “walk-the-dog” surface lures like a sammy or a zara spook, a large colorado blade spinnerbait, then big swim baits and jigs (jig n craw).
the crankbaits and others in my boxes get some, but little, use.
