Maybe that smelly gooey stuff that you smear on it would help you lure in some more fish.

    Crickets.

my grandpa always used wadded up balls of white bread- worked every time! But i think he was fishing for trout, sorry if thats completely different from bass.

I did that last summer and we used the lures that look like stiff fish with hooks on the bottom we caught a ton…color dosnt matter

Well, i’d say your pretty much good with anything, bass tend to go for a lot of different lures and different colours so something like this always helps me when im bass fishing

It depends if its open water something light in color like a white twister tail. or spinner. If your icefishing a tip-up with a shiner minnow works good right above or on the weed edge. Or just go natrual with a worm that always works!

your going to want to use something with a lot of color or that makes a lot of sound. you could use live bait, like crickets or minows because they will make sounds when in the water. if you want to use artificial lures try using jigs of crankbaits with a lot of color, and as for the crankbaits, many come available with beads that rattle inside. i highly recomend these. i would also highly recomend using attractant spray that you can find at any bait shop. goood luck!

You can use plastic worms. Generally in murky water you want to use a dark color that will contrast well. Whatever it is you use fish slowly in the winter. One reason a plastic worm is a good choice they are easy to fish slow.

if it’s muddy water, use a bright chartreuse crankbait. otherwise, go with a black plastic worm fished slow. very slow. slower. l’m trying to make a point here. it is impossible to fish soft plastics too slowly. especially in winter.

In dark water, some type of lure that makes noise so the bass can hear it, also it should have some color. They are going to want a full meal for the winter so a frog should work very good. Just make sure to move it slow, jump it up and down, reel for 3 seconds slowly, stop, then repeat. I hope i help!

I like a chartreuse Willow and Colorado bladed spinnerbait. Fish ‘em slowly in winter, the vibration will cause some ruckus. And you’ll catch some bass. A 6″ grape colored plastic worm will catch a lot of bass in the cold season also. Juice your baits up with a fresh attractant and you’re shore to catch some bass. Size your baits down in the winter also.

    1.) Here’s a nice spinnerbait, in chartreuse. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_103938____SearchResults
    2.) 6″ purple worm http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_62284____SearchResults

    Hope i helped ya out.
