I know what your sayin man, I just went out yesterday and I found the lakes are still frozen solid. Your best bet is to work slow 1/4oz craw jigs or small tubes in the space that you have. Your other solution would be to find a lake with a hot water discharge even if it is a couple hours a away. Just go to your local wildlife recourse website and find some lake with a discharge and fish there..Good luck man!!

i thaught u were fruity but this was great! umm im from mn and the lakes are frozen but the river is just about to shed all ice some parts are frozen but i managed to fish the river but i cant seem to get to a spot were i can get the lure to stop at the bottom without being taken by the curent. theres about 10-15 yards of ice under the water on the shoreline so its a bit triky casting and reeling in the lure. anything you would sugest?

Yea but im talking about the northern midwest area mostly because all of our lakes our frozen over right now and the river are just starting to clear up. I’m not saying this in general mostly in 40oF air temp and 30oF water temp somtimes even lower though our rivers stay really warm

I disagree on the baitfish here in California the fish are almost always feeding on baitfish though we have a few crayfish in the local resevoirs the fish are pretty much were the baitfish are year round
