Do all the baits to the bass. Large mouth bass do not now all that at all and good luck to you.

  • R W:

The absolute best FALL bait for Largemouth Bass, or for that matter, ANY fish, is the bait that you can get them to hit on, on any given day.

    Good Luck

  • GreenBean:

    topwater

  • pheasant tail:

Live Shiners, fished below a float. Now that the water is “turning over”
largemouths will want to fatten up before they head deep for the winter.

Don’t be afraid to go large (4″), you may well end up with a wall hanger.

fall baits? ive never head such a thing, what should determine the bait you use is water temp, weather, water color and time of day. when all else fails use worms…i like worms….worms are good

  • *Bucks11*:

Rapala Skitter Walk ( Topwater) (Walk the Dog). Work that thing near some cover. Fish wont stop hitting it

  • jskud7:

Best bait for them on the lake that i fish is a tube. Other plastics will work fine. Working stuff a little slower now that its getting a little colder

  • johnny_saxman:

Generally, I’d forgo the “bait” and start casting 1/4 OZ Rattle Traps/Super Spots along point’s and major drop-offs.

This time of year, depending on what prt of the country you live in, Rattle Traps and Crank-baits are a good choice for bass fishing.

  • dillon t:

rapala shad rap rapala floater or a what i use most of the time and i catch about 6 and 7 pound would be rapala x rap

hey man, fall is about the best time to fish for the largemouth. i like to use the good ol favorite rubber worm, carolina rig. if you are not a worm man a good rattle trap or broke back will work great too. another good lure is a good sized spinner bait with a trailer like zoom or berkley. if you want to go fishing before the sun comes up or after it goes down i just love the devils horse. if you wanna go fishin with live bat you just cant beat a shiner. that is if the shiners are available to you. man i hope this helps you a little and forget all the others that want to leave some jackass remark about “anything that you can get a bite on” good luck good fishin be safe and remember to share the sxperience

Fall is the absolute best time of the year to fish and nothing gets my adrenaline pumping like a largemouth bass smashing a buzzbait! When the water cools down I go to a spinnerbait and usually have good success. When the water gets cold I go to a jig. By cold I mean 40 degree water temps. To be perfectly honest, I don’t think there is a bad bait to throw during the fall months. The fish are extremely cooperative. When the water & weather temps. dip any lower, I’ll be at the outdoor shows.
If you have never experienced the fall fishing action get out and see what you are missing!!!

I agree with Pheasant Tail – big shiners…
