How can I tell if there are Largemouth Bass in a pond?

I want to fish this pond in FL for bass, but I don’t know if there are bass in it. I know there are turtles that live in it, however. The pond is connected to a bunch of small canal like ways attached to other smaller ponds. Do you think bass with be there?
