How to catch the BIGGER largemouth bass in the lake/Reservoir?

Ok.. I fish in the public water supplies “illegal lakes” that im not supposed to be fishing in, i dont care i still go but i dont keep any fish. Anyways these lakes are FULL of bass, but they all seem to be in the 2-3lb range, which isnt bad but i know there are GIANTS in this lake, ive seen them and even hook them but never landed. Ive caught 20+ bass over 5 pounds and a couple over 6 but nothing over 6 1/2. I live in the Northeast U.S.. Ive tried many many different baits of sizes and colors, fished during spring, fall and summer. I just CANNOT get the Huge bass to bite, any suggestions??

Here are a few suggestions. First make sure you are using the right season baits, jigs and spinners are all season. I recommend fishing where the deep water meets the shallow water, this drop off holds bigger bass. When you are working the bait, make sure you are slowing down, the smaller fish will hit right away, but the bigger ones are experienced and suck the bait towards them. Hope this helps.

Take 1 of those small 1 lb bass and use it for bait
