Im not sure wher you live, but where im at, the best bait to use is a Chubb. The’re pretty big compared to a regular minnow. Tie about 2 feet of line onto a bottom bouncer and hook the chubb up and just let it swim around. Guaranteed bass!!! of course this only works from a boat!

I like a rattle trap, then crank bait for fall fishing. But the rattle trap is pretty much my go to bait.

Try a texas rig. Use the fire tail ones or a maron one they will hit it everytime. I caught 8 large mouth bass in a matter of 1 hr. they will hit is hard and will mess the lure up make sure you have plenty to spare. and plus you can pull it through weeds grass…

You’ll get 1000 different answers to this question. I stick with 3 baits year round. My #1 is the hank parker classic spinnerbait 3/8 oz chart/white with the colorado/indiana blades,#2 is the electric grape 7″ power worm and #3 is the 6″ black/blue tail power lizard. These are the only lures i ever take with me and 9 out of 10 times i outfish every other guy on the lake.Good Luck

Texas rig is the onlything i use when bass fishing, and to check what bait fish are around buy a cast net and throw it around, i have gills at my local pond that i stock up on before i go catfishin

Im an old fashioned hook and worm fisherman. All them gadgets seem like alot of work. 10′-20′ of water at an underwater rock ledge or rocky bottom in a moving current is good enough.

I’ve had the best luck with Rattletraps during the day, Buzzbaits just before dark.

  • Matt:

Jigs & finese baits fished slow work well!

Go with what you know. Ask at the local bait shop what other guys are using.
