You can’t go wrong with minnows. i use a screen minnow trap and get the small fish from the bo9dy of water I’m fishing in. that way there’s no question that the bass there know that is food.
You can buy a minnow trap at any sporting goods store, or at wal mart.
worms are pretty good too, but the minnow trap is less work.
We use brim or when we are catching the brim sometimes they will hit earthworms. We also use artifical bait, worms or spinner bait. They always work if no live bait is available
Lots of answers, depending on where you are fishing and what sort of tackle you’re using. Live bait or artificial? Cloudy water or clear? warm water or chilly?
If you like artificial baits, and are willing to learn how to use them, plastic worms are good all year-round,but there is a learning curve. “Crank baits” are easier to operate, but, they too come with a learning curve.
If none of this interests you, then, minnows.
I reccomend spinner baits. I did a lot of river fishing in the midwest and used to catch a fair share of Largemouth while trolling and using spinner baits.
I also had a lot of success with a 3 or 5 inch surface runner perch rapalla. The bright orange underbelly attracted more than a few decent bass.
As far as live bait…worms and minnows seems to work pretty well, but none of them are necessary. A shiny lure is the fisherman’s best weapon.
Good luck!
anything they coudl find or ctach easily in the wild… from worms to fish… some peoepl sue like crayfish, frogs, and other odd products
Live or fake??
If live, the most common baits are minnows, worms, and crickets. You can also use crawfish, leeches, or other small fish.
If fake, I like to use platic baits, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits.
smaller fish. You can get feeders from your local pet store.
Ive used suckers leeches and minnows for largemouth, one of the three will get em everytime……good luck my best bet though is the suckers
