i have found in our small lake here in Texas that a plastic lizard with a small nail in the head area to make it wobble more is the best we have found here -lizards eat fish eggs making them a threat and a snack for bass-hope this helps and good luck

there are a lot of great pond lures tah work well for L.M. bass in a pond. Buzzbaits, jigs, spinnerbaits, crankbaits… The one that i have found most effective are buzzbaits. They will work any time during the day but at night and in the morning are the best times. Another lure to try out is a shakey jig worm. Here is a great link to help you out with this…

in my experience, most pond fish will eat about anything. An albino fluke has broght some success over the summer, along with the “chugbug” by storm.which is jus normal topwater bait. (the best color would most likely be a darker top with an orange nose and a orange belly). the chugbug seems to make fish bite quite a bit more than any other type of topwater, such as a buzzbait or torpedoes. my best advice would be to try a fluke. u can get them at wal-mart or any bait store. give it a shot

May i reccommend a big fat nightcrawler on a big fat hook with a big bobber. its simple, to rig and really easy to fish.

Plastic 5″ worms wacky rigged weightless.

My favorite bait to use in a small pond or creek is a weightless Senko…in green pumpkin, pumpkin or black with blue or silver flake…my parents have a small pond and that is what I use the majority of the time…

  • DPTITAN:

I like using small crankbaits and small topwaters I’v had great luck with them!!!

  • Patrick D:

    spinners

  • Uncle Buck:

Can’t go wrong with a wacky wormed Senko. You’ll always have success.
