use deep crank bait or live bait on the bottem of the lake becouse bas will be deeper in the warter to stay warm
Fish off of the bottom. Bass like to stay where it is warmest when the water temperature is low. I would suggest a crank bait or something similar that will dive and stay deep. Whatever you do, reel somewhat slow since the fish don’t move as fast in cold water.
For me in the colder months a jig-pig can not be beat. Fish it with very short hops or drag it along the bottom but only move it a few inches at a time. I hope this helps. You could also try a drop shot rig but keep the baits small.
Bass Boss is right. You cannot beat a Jig and Pig in the colder winter months. I use the blue and black with matching pork trailer. This is all I use. Try this, just go out with bass jigs and nothing else. Fish the entire day with just the jigs.
I like tight wobble crankbaits and small compact jigs in colder water. Remember the with the water being colder yor crankbait will dive slower so you have to slow down your retreive. I also like a lipless crankbait or a jerkbait if I am fishing around grass. Just rip the bait across the grass.
use a slow moving- bottom bouncing bait.(Jig or something) but dont reel to fast cause bass wont travel far to catch food
