try a swimbait for a monster bass, but have the strong gear to handle it.Regular lures will all catch bass, plastic worms and tubes, grubs and jigs, spinnerbaits and crankbaits and plugs are all effective on largemouth bass, don’t forget topwater lures and every conceivable other thing out ther will work on them when they are actively feeding, you can also use live bait if allowed, nightcrawlers and minnows are good, check your regulations for what is ok or not.Watch the outdoor shows on tv to see how the pros do it,or get a book at your library on it,rent a video too.all the research you do will increase your understanding of the target you want to capture and increase your catch ratio.

Well, sir. None of us know where this place is, so … Here’s some lures that catch bass regularly.

PLASTIC WORM – Comes in sizes from 4-12″, and about every color imaginable, they are the number one lure, not just for big bass, but for all bass. It is in every bass anglers tackle box, and most angler’s have a couple bags on the trip. (No need to bring more than 5, at least i don’t.)

SPINNERBAIT – A reaction type-lure, these are good in shallow or deep water. Just a simple spinner, with a trailer and hook. It is made to mimic a wild-minnow. Every bass angler has at least a couple of these, too.

MISCELLANEOUS SOFT PLASTICS – Lizards, Frogs, Snakes, they’re all made for bass. And i put them #3 on the lists. But, you can also get hard-variety frogs, also. These are good, top-water baits, and some lizards and fished like a plastic worm also.

CRANBAITS/SUSPENDING BAITS – Everyone needs a Rapala or two, right? Well, i put ‘em #4, and they deserved it. They make all depths, sizes, colors, etc. From deep-diving large baits, to shallow runners, they all catch bass, and lots of ‘em.

JIG – The jig ‘n pig is one of those ole’ time baits, and it deserved to be named. The jig is pretty much a spinnerbait without a spinner, therefore it floats, and you jig it through the water. All colors, sizes, etc are available.

BUZZBAIT – The buzzbait is like a spinnerbait, with a triangular thing on instead of a spinnerbait, which makes a buzzing noise and makes fish go crazy. Good ole’ lures.

TOP-WATER POPPERS – Yep, them Hula Poppers, Pop-R’s, & Skitter Pop’s will do you some good. Top-water action is the greatest way to catch bass there is, but there are still many lures that will out produce. But, still are good baits.

    Hope i helped ya out.

Oh yea, if you got any more Q’s, just e-mail me and I’ll be glad to help you.
