Worms? Chicken liver?
Powered by Yahoo! Answers
Shiners, Crawfish, minnows and night crawlers texas rigged.
I’ve always had good luck with the big ol’ shiners, the bigger the better, as I’ve caught big ( 5-6 lb.) bas on 4 or 5 inch shiners. Of course you can always count on the monster nightcrawler if you don’t mind all the scrap fish that they catch.
Hope I helped bud, Have fun stay safe !!
Leeches are the easiest to come by, but by far the best bait for bass is crawfish.
In my part of the country, you can’t use shiners because the white perch hit them pretty hard at times , so I found the best bait to use “for bass” is crawfish -devastating on bass! I found this out many years ago when catching bass on artificial lures when I cleaned them they all had crawfish in their belly’s. the only thing is the crawfish season is not long.
this is a very easy qusestim get some medium sized shinners and go to a pond were you know are bass and just cast them out and wait when you are fishing with shinners you are almost garenteded one bass
night crawlers work great
Like many others have stated ,Shiners & Crawdads are best, followed closely by night-crawlers.
It’s important to note- With todays advances in artificial lures and soft plastics, (Berkley “Gulp”, Yum Crawdad, Flukes, Jig & Grub, Etc.), you can (at times) do just as well fishing lures as bait.
Another bait that can work wonders is a 1/4 OZ Jig & Leech, (esp on Smallmouth Bass).
Hope this helps a little? Thumbs up to all the other great answer’s. Good luck!
