The best thing to catch them with is a plug, a tube or rubber worm, spinner bait or spinners. They hide buy fallen trees lillypads, by plants. areas where there are underwater hills, by rocks, and wherever ever fish are. You can catch them when the sun is just starting to come up or come down. if it is dark and the sun is down all the way use a jitter bug or creek chub lure and the bass will definitely eat it

they hide in the weed and the best time to catch them is in the early morning or right when the sun goes down

Largemouth bass hang out around “structure”. That could be anything from weeds, rocks, piers, stumps and drop offs. The best time to catch bass is either early in the morning or from the evening into the night. Here is a beginner’s guide for lures.
Texas rigged worms/lizards(look it up) = everywhere
Poppers and Jitterbugs= weeds, lillie pads, docks and around/near structure
Crank Baits = Around/Near structure, not into
    Live Bait = Around/Near structure

Bass hide-out near every thing. Docks, submerged wood, tree trunks, under the shade of a tree, every where. Just find some cover and through a 6″ plastic worm and see what happens. What your line. You can get a bite and not even know it. Use around 10 lb. or 12 lb. mono, a casting reel, medium action rod, 1/8 OZ bullet weight, and a 6″ grape colored plastic worm. This is my favorite all-around bass bait.

FYI : The Plastic Worm can be substituted for the following : Tube Baits, Jigs, Spoons, or other Soft plastic lure. It’s your choice. But the plastic worm will beat out those other lures.

most of the answers are right above me. but one thing not mentioned is that during the day, not dusk or dawn but the actual day when its hot and the suns out the fish go deeper where the waters cooler.
