Caught 2 on medium shiners trout fishing here in Massachusetts.
This past Saturday I took my little put-put Jon boat & caught 4 nice bass and 23 crappie at West Point Lake in Alabama using minnows off sandy/gravel points within eyesight of the boat ramp.
It cracks me up watching the “pros” and their high dollar rigs blast off and run 80 MPH 10 miles then slam on brakes, make 5 casts and blast off again then brag on the 3 they caught.
Holman Lake, PA
im catching a whole lot of em here in wisconsin and im only 11 i been fishin since i was 2 not allowed to keep the bass yet though
We don’t have Bass here, so I guess I would have to join you in Florida.
You catch ‘em, I’ll cook ‘em
I accidentally caught one 3 weeks ago or so. I was fishing for trout at a small pond in a housing area with a 1/4 ounce mepps… I hooked up with a big 6 pounder, about 19 inches. Surprisingly enough, she didn’t fight very much, I took her on 2 pound test without adjusting the drag at all. I was surprised to see a bass to say the least, I thought it was a small trout.

Caught 34 in two trips in Louisiana using spinner baits and plastics. But it’s going to get better if the weather ever stabilizes
Lipless crankbaits and suspending jerkbaits have been catching them good in NJ
