ooh man,a tough one………………i would have to say they are both great fisherman vandam does have 2 classic titles,ike only one………..does that mean he is a better fisherman,maybe in a way.
i like ike a little more because of the way he makes the boring game of fishing interesting,none can carry on like he does and it seems like he is there to give a show,when he screws up or loses one,he rarely hides his frustration.
like i said earlier,i like both of them,and vandam does have 2 classic wins
I say everyone knows i really have issues with Mike Iaconelli! He’s exactly what bass fishing is not. Fisher_King even referred to him as Vanilla Ike, because Vanilla Ice was exactly what hip-hop wasn’t at the time. LOL. Not saying he’s not a great fisherman, it’s just things about a guy fishing in between sewer pipes, ducking his head from pipes, and such and still be considered a traditional bass fisherman.
Kevin Van Dam on the other hand, i like him, he’s still not the best, but he gets the job done. He is the inventor of the Sexy Shad color which is one of the greatest colors in lures, ever.

KVD has better number but has been pro for 9 years longer than IKE.
It is close but I give the edge to KVD for now.
Ike
I think KVD is a better fisherman, Ike is good and I don’t really have a problem w/ his antics but I don’t think he compares to KVD. I think he would tell you that.
I also belive his antics are for show FK, and roland martin gets on my nerves, he has too many gadgets. I like his son Scott Martin, he seems pretty realistic.
ME!
I think Mike Iaconelli. He brings something to fishing that others don’t. He makes something that seems dull to others seem fun. He’s also pretty young for a Bass Pro fisherman which draws in younger viewers. Yes he does get annoying with his signature yell but that’s just him expressing himself out loud (hey who wouldn’t). Kevin Van Dam is a great fisherman maybe even better but he doesn’t bring to the plate what Iaconelli does. My two cents. Good luck fishin’!

Kevin Van Damn, Michael Iaconelli is a hottie!!!!
Is Ike a good fisherman?? Yes.
Does he need to “dance” and “act a fool” to catch fish? No.
His “tom-foolery” is a “marketing move” and has nothing to do with fishing.
In my opinion, his “antics” over-shadow anything he accomplishes as a fisherman and makes him look like a “poser”.
(The same reason I don’t like Roland Martin.)
That’s why I call him “Vanilla Ike”.
Ironically, KVD has the personality of “porridge”, (lol).
In my eyes KVD is the “Anti-Ike”; bland and a bad “TV personality”.
BUT, at least I KNOW KVD isn’t “puttin on” for the cameras so he can better market himself!
Anywho, I’d pick KVD as a better fisherman. I truly believe KVD has more skill as a fisherman than Ike and his apparent demeanor is more “honest”.

defo KVD he has 2 title to ike one KVD dosent mess around he just does what hes there for hes also been a pro a lot longer!!
