Anyone have any good tips on Lake Vermillion?

I’m going to Lake Vermillion mid June (14th-21st) and looking for some Smallmouth Bass tips and Northern Pike tips. Just wondering if anyone has any “insider” knowledge if there’s any artificials that work better than others on the lake, any “honey holes” that you might be interested in sharing. Thanks much in advance!

Jigs & suspending Rapala Husky Jerk Minnows.

    Smallmouth/Walleye love a black 1/4 OZ Jig with a 3″ Smoke-colored Berkley Powerbait Grub curly-tail.

Other Jig rigs to consider- Jig/Berkley “Gulp” 5″ Leech, Jig/live minnow, Jig/live leech.

For Northerns- Husky Jerk HJ-10 in Silver or Perch.
Northerns eat these like CANDY! Make sure to use a wire “invisi-leader” or you will loose your HJ immed!

Other good ideas- Tubes do well with Smally’s. Black, Watermelon, Motor-oil, Red shad are all good tube colors. Rig them weedless.

Look for humps and emerging weedlines offshore for Walleye. Northerns are along the shore, and at weedlines/pads.
